Slumberwood is a fictional college located in Rutland County, Vermont. This website tells the story of the college’s baseball team from 2007, when second baseman Justin (‘Drotti) Pedrotti joined the team as a freshman, up through 2011, when he graduated. Of course, there’s more beyond that, so we’ll keep you posted on the team’s activities post-’Drot, too, especially since a few of you show some semblance of caring.
The author, Steph Diorio, is a writer for AerysSports.com, where she covers the Baltimore Orioles and Stanford Cardinal baseball. Her trademark in her baseball coverage is her cartoons and comics, which distinguish her somewhat from other baseball writers. She is a lifelong baseball fan (and manga lover) from New Jersey who, although she grew up as a Mets fan and discovered the Red Sox during her high school years, developed a strong appreciation for the Orioles during her time at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. She loves prospects. A LOT. She’s a history major and Civil War Era Studies minor, a lover of cats, an autism advocate, and a bunch of other somewhat quirky and odd things.
